  1. AdolfWolf A Worlf thats like Hitler LOL
  2. i suggest u use creatures from real legends http://www.paralumun.com/mysticcreat.htm
  3. Are you posting it on Fictionpress? I love that sight. Anywho. Make it a questie story (I love stories with quests and have awesome creatures, but I won't tell you any cause then the point of you creating them would be moot). Good luck!
  4. gribles.......butters......
  5. ok then, i've an idea try something original like dragons vs gryphons or griffins( whatever the difference)
  6. for naming, try to go to www.seventhsanctum.com.. don't steal their names lol some of them are pretty outlandish but they give you LOTS of ideas.
  7. afrodice, main character.
  8. My advice...and I am being totally serious here.... would be to skim through a copy of one of the handbooks for Dungeons and Dragons. They have lists of all kinds of magical creatures, races, languages, magical abilities, and so on that could get your imagination running. They also give advice on how to make interesting characters and writing their personalities and backstories. It's a good introduction to the fantasy genre without actually having to read a story, and it might help if you find yourself stumped.
  9. Think randomly.. I mean I love when people use off the wall creatures and off the wall names.. so try to go with that.. Good luck and repost something saying where you book my be located at or what sight.. Good luck..
  10. Just use your imagination, imagine the weirdest creature, and call it something. Start there.
  11. You can have it in a different dimension. There could be tiny creatures with two three eyes and four legs and you could call them warlocks. And you could have a species called Splurs that spider lower bodies but the upper bodies could look like a monkey.
  12. Are you making up the creatures yourself or using established ones? If they're common fantasy creatures like unicorns and dragons it's probably best to use those terms for them so as not to confuse your readers. If you're making them up do whatever you like. Take existing words and rearrange them to make new names for things and places. As for ideas for stories they come from everywhere. Music, movies, places, people, other stories, anything can be your inspiration. Try carrying a little notebook with you and every time you get an idea write it down, no matter how dumb you might think it is. After you've got a bunch root through them and see if any could evolve into possible stories. Or try designing your main character first, as much of the story will probably revolve around them. Who are they? What are they? What do they need to learn? What do they want to do? Many stories begin simply when a character has a problem, desire, or an obstacle and end when they've overcome or achieved what they set out to do. Try not to be too critical of yourself. Writing, like any other skill, takes practice. Good luck!
